I finally have conversation groups for people who want to become fluent in Norwegian
My goal is to create a positive vibe, and at the same time do everything I can to actually make you better.

How it works
A bit about me
I am a certified Norwegian teacher qualified for teaching Norwegian as a second language. I have also studied phonetics, Norwegian grammar and literature, and plain language. I have taught Norwegian in Norwegian schools, and I have worked as an editor at a publishing house, making Norwegian learning materials.
I also have a master's degree in musicology. That sounds unrelated, but it is the reason I hear things in your pronunciation that other teachers miss. Norwegian is a tonal language, and tones are the part most learners never get any help with.
And I am a people person. I look after everyone in my groups.
My goal is to create a warm and safe atmosphere, and clear feedback on what you actually need to work on.
Small groups mean you speak far more than you would on a bigger online course.
Det er ikke bare veldig gøy og morsomt i samtaletimene med Aria, men også veldig lærerikt og nyttig for deltakerne. Nemlig vi får på forhånd et tema eller ord vi skal snakke om, og det handler mest om ordforråd av dagliglivssituasjoner som vi alle har erfaring med eller som vi sikkert skal ha nytte av. Først har vi interessante aktiviteter med de valgte ordene, der vi lærer andre uttrykk og ord knyttet til temaet uten å legge merke til det. Bortsett fra at samtalene er veldig spontane og avslappede, blir hver elev involvert og korrigert ved behov takket være Arias store kunnskap og erfaring.
Aria introduserer oss både til det norske språket og kulturen, og ikke minst til riktig uttale og intonasjon, som jeg også synes er veldig viktig i vår språkreise.
I tillegg får vi en oppfolging etter hver leksjon med kommentarer, tips og de viktigste ordene vi skal øve på. Alt i alt vil jeg gjerne anbefale timene med Aria til alle som vil snakke på en mer naturlig og korrekt måte, i en engasjerende og kul stemning.
It is not only great fun in the conversation lessons with Aria, but also very instructive and useful for the participants. We get a topic or some words in advance that we are going to talk about, and it is mostly vocabulary from everyday situations that we all have experience with, or that we will certainly find useful. First we do interesting activities with the chosen words, where we learn other expressions and words connected to the topic without even noticing it. Besides the fact that the conversations are very spontaneous and relaxed, every student is involved and corrected when needed, thanks to Aria's great knowledge and experience.
Aria introduces us both to the Norwegian language and the culture, and not least to correct pronunciation and intonation, which I also think is very important on our language journey.
On top of that we get a follow-up after each lesson with comments, tips and the most important words to practise. All in all, I would gladly recommend the lessons with Aria to anyone who wants to speak in a more natural and correct way, in an engaging and cool atmosphere.
